Moved into the top class today, had a much better day as felt I was making a difference. Was teaching ” this is a ….that is a…” lots of arm acrobatics to show the difference. BB was very helpful
Over the day the class sizes ranged from 8 to 42 ages from 8 to 19. Big difference- strange teaching a lad, way taller than myself, with a deep voice and facial hair!!
No plans at lunchtime so chilled for the 3-hour lunch break……
More big kids in the afternoon,
Lots of them!!
Back at the hotel, we decided to enjoy a swim and a cheeky g and t. Disaster struck – as I was gingerly heading up the outdoor steps to our room due to the recent rain, I met Corinne coming down them, on her back!
Cut a very long traumatic story short, Corinne headed off to hospital strapped to a backboard. We were all so concerned, must say it was useful having so many nurses in our group. Kelly was a star, chief trauma nurse!! Thanks.
Swim forgotten, we went into Siem Reap for tea. Feeling in need if western food, we got pizza in a Chinese restaurant, it was gorgeous 4 cheese pizza, perfectly indulgent!!
4 of us headed of for different types of massage. The other 3 all started and I waited patiently for someone to come for me………. .eventually a lady came running in apologising profusely and started. Her phone kept going off, she had a drippy nose, but she did give me a wonderful back, neck and shoulder massage!!
We realised our tuk-tuk was heading back to the hotel, so 2 of us who had finished rushed off to catch it, to tell the driver to wait a few mins for the others. We headed back to the hotel oblivious to the nightmare Robyn and Maggie were about to encounter!
They travelled the streets of Siem Reap in a tuk-tuk, the driver promising he knew where the hotel was……anyway……. 2 hours later they returned and the hotel gates were all locked up!!!
